To ensure the safety of plastic products in fire incidents, the use of plastic flame retardant testing has become widespread in assessing the flame retardant performance of plastic materials.
Plastic flame retardant testing involves the evaluation of flame retardant performance through a series of standardized experimental methods. Our tests are typically conducted in accordance with international standards such as UL 94, ISO 1210, ASTM D635, and others. We employ two primary types of plastic flame retardant testing:
UL 94 Test: This widely used method assesses the burning performance of plastic materials when exposed to flames. The test subjects plastic samples to specific flame conditions to evaluate factors such as burning rate, flame propagation, and residual effects after burning.
Glow Wire Test: This method simulates the burning scenario of plastic products in fires caused by electrical faults. During this test, a heated metal wire is brought into contact with the plastic sample to assess its burning performance and flame retardant properties under high temperatures.
